Dina, do you know yet if your church will host a drop box or something? I have gone through and catalogued all of my stash the last two days and I came up with 3-4 good size (quilt) bags of all weights of yarn that we/I can use for this project. My next project before getting back to knitting is to go through what we already have knit up to see what we can use for this. I know I have some nice fingerless gloves that I did for a test knit, and I think Kim’s scarves that she has knit will work as well.
Hey Tammy,
Waiting to hear back. I’ll let you know. I’ve also got some emails out to some of the LYS to see if they’d be willing, as well. I’ll let you know.
I love your level of organization and motivation! You inspire me!
It’s past needing done on my end. I have way more yarn than I can ever knit. It’s a tad bit ridiculous! Ok, not a tad bit, more than a tad bit!! It’s taken me many years to get to this point of wanting to know what is in each box. Lots of sock yarn of course.
I was feeling a little overwhelmed about my sock yarn stash when I went back and looked at the Barn Raising pattern – it calls for sock yarn! Who knew?! Dang – I’m so casting some of those on!
