Local Yarn Shops

Is there anything more fabulous than to enter a yarn shop – I mean a real yarn shop (not just a corner of a craft store) – and be able to smell the beauty of the place?!

We are so fortunate here in Portland to have a whole bunch of AMAZING local yarn shops.  Nearly all of them have Knit Nights or Charity Knitting get togethers, and I don’t think I know of a single one that doesn’t offer classes of some sort.  Honestly – your LYS is *the* place to meet new friends and find some seriously habit-forming fiber!

A great way to keep up with what’s going on in the Knitting Community in town is to subscribe to a shop’s blog!  You’ll get the inside scoop on sales, events, special classes, and the like.  Totally the right thing to do!
