And why shouldn’t it?  We’ve had a great time getting together, learning new skills, connecting with one another, and encouraging one another on in the Lord!

There’s less than a week left of the Kazakh Orphanage project.  Bring any items you have completed to church by Sunday.  The bag (which is clearly marked) is by the elevator in the lobby.  I hope to get by there in the next day or two to do a tally of just how many items we are sending with Jim and crew.

We need to decide if we’re going to have another focus over the coming summer months.  Or should we do a knit-along – something like baby sweaters or the like?  We could donate them to Pregnancy Resource Center or something like that.  Or we could do some more structured education – learning specific knitting skills, or maybe doing an introduction to crochet.  There are so many options.  But we need YOUR input!

You’ll see there are several “knitting in the garden” opportunities at my house over the coming weeks.  We are just a stone’s throw from the church, live on half an acre, and have plenty of nice shade or right in the sunshine areas in the yard to hang out quite comfortably there.  It will be a pretty laid back atmosphere!  But, a great opporunity to get together if you’d like some help with an ongoing project, or just want someone to knit with!  The daytime meetings in my garden – bring a brown bag lunch, I’ll provide ice water, iced tea, or fruit juice for drinks.  The evening meetings – I’ll try to have a snack available to share – but if anyone ever wants to do that, I’d be willing to let you help out that way!  🙂

So, in the spirit of providing more opportunities to get together and continue on – here are some upcoming opportunities to get together and craft!  I say craft, because if you want to knit, crochet, tat – whatever!  Come on out!  If you don’t know how – then come ready to learn!
