Isn’t this great?
These are some of the items were crafted (using a loom) by students in the Beaverton School District – for our project!
How cool is that?!
What’s even cooler? One of the students in this group is a homeless student in the BSD. She’s so excited to be a part of making sure that her peers get hand-crafted items to help keep them warm!
We will have a chance to partner with their teacher – Bryn (who is amazing and inspiring and fabulous rolled all up into one dynamo of a lady!) – and help teach these and other kids how to knit and/or crochet – probably after Christmas!
That so floats my boat!
Do you want to help?
Cause we could really use your help!
I’ve got yarn, knitting needles, free patterns, trying to find crochet hooks – now all we need is you!
If you want to help – you’ve got to get cleared by the Beaverton School District, though. Here’s the form you need to fill out – it’s great – you can submit it online – and it literally only takes a couple of minutes to fill out and submit. (I just did mine.) It takes them a couple of weeks to get it processed – so let’s be ahead of the game and get this done now so that when we get the okay to round ’em up and head out – we’re all on the same page. Okay?
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
